Text-only WhatsApp sync was never the full story. Your customers send photos of purchase orders, voice updates while they’re on the move, PDFs, and a 👍 when something lands. Until now, a lot of that context stayed in WhatsApp, or showed up in HubSpot as a vague placeholder.
UNOsync v3.5.1 changes that. On Core and Team plans, the full conversation (media, transcripts, and reactions) lands on the HubSpot contact timeline where your team already works. No WhatsApp Business API required.
Voicenote transcription
Voice messages are fast for the sender and painful for everyone else trying to catch up in the CRM.
When you sync a voicenote on a Core or Team plan, UNOsync:
- Uploads the audio to HubSpot Files
- Transcribes it automatically using OpenAI Whisper
- Renders both on the timeline: a Voicenote link to play the original, plus the transcript in quotes underneath
So instead of “Customer sent a voice message”, your rep sees something like:

Files are stored in HubSpot via the Files API, so they stay attached to the contact record, not buried in a WhatsApp thread only one person can see. That matters for complete communication capture in HubSpot and Breeze AI summaries.
Emoji reactions on the timeline
WhatsApp reactions carry signal: approval, acknowledgment, urgency. UNOsync now captures them and appends a summary to the synced message in HubSpot, for example:

ℹ️ One-time re-authorization required
Media upload uses HubSpot’s Files scope. If you connected UNOsync before this release, you’ll be prompted to re-authorize HubSpot the first time you sync media. It takes about thirty seconds, same OAuth flow you used when you first installed.
If you skip it, text sync keeps working. Media upload waits until you’ve reconnected.

How to get it
- Install or update the extension from the Chrome Web Store, or visit
chrome://extensions/and refresh UNOsync. Need help? See our extension update guide. - Re-authorize HubSpot if prompted (Settings → Connect to HubSpot)
- Upgrade to Core or Team if you’re on Starter and want media + transcription. Manage billing in the app
- Sync a conversation using manual or AutoSync: new messages with media, voicenotes, or reactions will include the full payload
Already synced a thread?
Messages that were synced before this release won’t retroactively pick up media or transcripts. Open the chat in WhatsApp, sync again on any messages that still need the full treatment, or use Clean Ups in the dashboard if activities landed on the wrong contact. Why this matters
HubSpot is only as good as the data inside it. When voicenotes stay untranscribed and images stay in WhatsApp, Breeze AI summaries, activity reporting, and handoffs all suffer.
This release closes a big gap: informal WhatsApp conversations now look like proper CRM history, readable, searchable, and shareable across the team.
